Why we chose each house
Seven houses, seven decisions. None of them was quick — a house only enters the collection when it gives us the feeling old Antibes gives up once: this is the place. Here is why, house by house, in our own words.
We buy and restore the houses we would want to stay in ourselves. A staircase, a view, the way the light falls at six in the evening: something has to decide it for us before the numbers do.
What follows is what convinced us, house by house — in our own words, not a description written to be sold. Open any of them to see the whole house.
All seven houses stand within the same walls, a few minutes apart on foot. That is not a coincidence — it is the whole idea.
Maison Baieta
The first time we stepped onto this terrace, we stopped talking. The Cap d’Antibes was right there, filling the horizon, and we understood that everything else — the three levels, the 17th-century ceilings — would be built around that view. Baieta is the house we bring people to when we want to explain why we fell in love with Old Antibes.
Maison Pantai
We chose Pantai for the way it lives: three real suites, a kitchen made for long tables, a games room below for the children — and that terrace facing the Cap. It is the house we would have dreamed of for our own family holidays, back when we were five travelling together.
Maison Marina
A house with its own door onto the ramparts walk — we didn’t think it existed. When we found Marina, almost a hundred square metres on one level above the sea, we knew it was one of those places Old Antibes only gives up once. You step out and the Mediterranean is simply there.
Maison Regina
What decided us was the staircase: you climb through three centuries of stone and suddenly the roof opens onto the whole bay. A private rooftop in the heart of the old town is a small miracle — Regina had one, facing due south. We couldn’t let it go to anyone else.
Maison VistaMar
VistaMar seduced us with its front-row balcony — that feeling of being on the bow of a ship, the sea straight ahead. And its own entrance from a quiet street, which is a rare luxury inside the walls. It is the house we recommend to couples who want Antibes at their feet without giving up their independence.
Maison Soleiha
From Soleiha’s rooftop you see what the swallows see: the terracotta roofs, the Salis beach, the hills — and at night, Fort Carré glowing across the bay. We restored this village house for that view alone. It rewards those who like their luxury quiet.
Maison BenEstre
A garden in Old Antibes — under a lemon tree, behind its own door. In more than ten years here, we had almost never seen one. BenEstre is small, single-level and perfect for two: the house we chose with our hearts, for guests who travel the same way.
