Maison VistaMar — hero, holiday rental in Old Antibes

Its own private entrance from a quiet old-town street — and a front-row balcony over the Mediterranean and the Cap d'Antibes.

Two en-suite bedrooms, a bright east-facing living room and a well-appointed kitchen — all arranged around the house’s signature: a spacious balcony in the front row over the Mediterranean, made for long breakfasts and al-fresco dinners above the water.

The film

Inside Maison VistaMar

Our own photographs of the house, set in motion — the bay with snow still on the Alps, the balcony with nothing between it and the sea, and the rooms that share its light. No film crew came. How our films are made.

01
The living room

East light, sea beyond

The 35 m² living room faces east over original travertine — three-seater sofa, aviator armchair in aged leather, tulip chair and a designer dining table for four. Glass doors open the whole room onto the sea-view balcony.

02
The balcony

A front-row seat on the Mediterranean

Facing east to south-east, the balcony seats four for dinner above the water, the Cap d’Antibes on the horizon. A deck chair waits for slow mornings and sunset hours.

03
The kitchen

Effortless and new

An entirely new open-plan kitchen — Siemens appliances, Venetta cabinetry, white granite countertop — with Nespresso machine, kettle, toaster and everything needed for a proper Riviera breakfast.

04
Master bedroom I

Old stone, deep calm

A 15 m² suite over Rue du Bateau with a 160×200 Black Label bed and two integrated dressing areas. Black granite basin, teak cabinetry and a large 140×90 walk-in shower against exposed historic stonework.

05
Master bedroom II

Discreet elegance

An intimate 12 m² bedroom with a 140×190 Black Label bed and integrated dressing. Its en-suite bathroom keeps the same language — black granite, teak, walk-in shower — under exposed old stone.

06
The entrance

A private door on Rue du Bateau

The house has its own independent entrance from the street — a spacious hall with guest toilet, laundry room with washer and dryer, and generous storage for suitcases.

07
Location

Rue du Bateau, historic triangle

In the heart of the triangle formed by the cathedral, the Picasso Museum and the Provençal market, with a private, independent entrance and a reinforced door. Gravette and Salis beaches in under five minutes on foot.

This was our second stay at Vista Mar and will definitely be returning again in the future. It is such a great apartment. Modern decor, spotlessly clean, great amenities and just the perfect location and view over Cap d’Antibes. Right in the heart of the old town just minutes walk to so many great restaurants and the provincial market. Maggie and Henri are great hosts and would definitely recommend staying here or any of their other properties in Antibes. Perfect hosts, perfect apartment.

A true gem. We loved sitting on the balcony and looking out to the sea and promenade below. Walkable location. Super quiet. 6 star boutique “hotel”.

We loved our stay in this two-bedroom apartment in Antibes. A small terrace with stunning views over the Mediterranean Sea made it a wonderful place to relax. The apartment was well laid out, the beds were very comfortable, and it stayed beautifully cool, which was especially appreciated during a very hot week. The location in the heart of the Old Town was perfect, with plenty to see and do within easy walking distance. We would highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a comfortable, well appointed and well-situated location to stay in Antibes.

We had a great stay in Antibes. The location is perfect, right in the old town with a water view and great people watching. You are steps from the market and bakery. The apartment is modern and comfortable, and the air conditioning works well. It feels like you are living in old town Antibes but with everything you need. We would stay here again.

Henri & Maggy’s Vistamar residence was absolutely lovely. We felt right at home, safe and comfortable. The view is beyond spectacular. We would stay again in a heartbeat.

Why we chose this house

VistaMar seduced us with its front-row balcony — that feeling of being on the bow of a ship, the sea straight ahead. And its own entrance from a quiet street, which is a rare luxury inside the walls. It is the house we recommend to couples who want Antibes at their feet without giving up their independence.
